Vanessà Heer (CH): Vo Schand und Schuppel
Vanessa Heer has assembled a «Schuppel». In doing so, she places herself in a tension with the Appenzell tradition of Silvesterchlausen, which is practiced exclusively by men. She thus creates a space between appropriation and personal interpretation. Positioned at the intersection of music, film, poetry, and performance and - in an attempt to explore vulnerability and permeability between bodies - the project subverts the unwritten rules of tradition with a collective yet polyphonic expression of marginalized voices.
